Police Appeal for Good Samaritan to Come Forward

The Shropshire Star have reported earlier today on the case of a good samaritan that helped a pensioner. On Sunday 5th April 2015, the 77 year old female became the victim of a robbery. A woman came into contact with the pensioner at approximately 1:30pm in Longden Coleham. She managed to steal the victims purse from out of her handbag.

As the thief tried to escape, fortunately for the victim, a good samaritan intervened and retrieved the 77 year old’s purse from the woman that had taken it.

The offender is described as in her 30’s, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins tall, white and of slim build. She was wearing light coloured trainers, a navy blue fleece and jeans.

Police are keen to speak to the man that helped the elderly victim, so that he can further help with the enquiries relating to the incident. He can call 101 and quote the incident number that is 306S for the date that the crime occured.

Any other member of the public that feels they can assist the Police with ongoing information about the robbery can also contact the force on 101.
